Connect Threads

What you need

• A Threads account.
• To be signed in to sprkly on sprkly.app. Connecting does not work anywhere else.

Steps

1. Go to Settings and find Social accounts.
2. Next to Threads, click Connect a Threads account.
3. A popup opens on Threads. Log in.
4. Allow both permissions Threads asks for. sprkly needs both to post.
5. The popup closes. Threads now shows Connected in Settings.

Add a second Threads account

Threads does not switch accounts well. So:

1. On the Threads card, click Head to threads.com to sign out.
2. Sign out on Threads.
3. Come back and click Continue to connect with Threads.

If it fails

• "Your Threads token cannot publish." A permission was skipped. Disconnect Threads in Settings. Connect again and accept both permissions.
• The same account connected again. You were still signed in to Threads. Sign out on threads.com first.
• Nothing happens on localhost or a preview link. Open sprkly.app/settings and try there.
