The social media playbook with Claude

  • Connect Claude to your sprkly account and your own numbers.
  • A 30-day plan, week by week.
  • The prompts that do the work.

What you need

  • A sprkly account. Signing up starts a 7-day trial of Creator. No card.
  • Claude (claude.ai, the desktop app, or Claude Code). Or ChatGPT on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu.
  • At least one social account connected in sprkly.

Which plans work with Claude

  • The trial: 7 days, 5 accounts, up to 3 new posts a day.
  • Creator: US$4.50 an account a month.
  • Power: US$9 an account a month.
  • Free: no Claude. 3 accounts, 10 queued posts each.

The plan runs 30 days. The trial runs 7.

From day 8 you need Creator or Power for Claude to keep working.

Try the plan on your own account

  • 7 days of Creator, free. No card.
  • Up to 5 accounts.
  • Claude works on the trial.
Start free trial

This makes you a free sprkly account and starts a 7-day trial. No card.

Set it up once

  1. In sprkly, open Settings and connect a social account. Claude can only post to accounts you connect there.
  2. In Claude, add sprkly as a connector with the address below. Then sign in to sprkly and approve.
  3. Ask Claude: "What have I got queued this week?" If it answers from your real queue, you are set.

The 30-day plan

Each day names a prompt. The prompts are numbered P1 to P20 in the next part.

Your 30 days

  1. Week 1: find your baseline (days 1 to 7)Goal: know your best hour, your best day, and your best kind of post.
  2. Week 2: build a content bank (days 8 to 14)Goal: a week of posts, written and scheduled in one sitting.
  3. Week 3: turn comments into DMs (days 15 to 21)Goal: when someone comments a word, they get a DM with your link.
  4. Week 4: review and repeat (days 22 to 30)Goal: see what changed, then do the next month better.

Week 1: find your baseline (days 1 to 7)

Goal: know your best hour, your best day, and your best kind of post.

  • Day 1. Do the setup above. Then run P1 and P2.
  • Day 2. Pull your last 30 days. Run P4.
  • Day 3. Find your best hour and day. Run P5. Check the count: a best hour backed by one post is not a finding.
  • Day 4. Find your top posts and why they worked. Run P6.
  • Day 5. See which platforms give full numbers. Run P7. Threads and Facebook give no numbers. That is not the same as doing badly.
  • Day 6. Want a longer view? Run P8 for 90 days.
  • Day 7. Write down three rules: your hour, your day, your best kind of post. Ask Claude to write them from what you found.

New account? Your history may be thin. Instagram and TikTok posts you made outside sprkly count once sprkly imports them.

Week 2: build a content bank (days 8 to 14)

Goal: a week of posts, written and scheduled in one sitting.

  • Day 8. Get ideas from what already works. Run P9.
  • Day 9. Turn the best 7 ideas into captions, one per platform. Run P10.
  • Day 10. Check one caption against the rules. Run P11.
  • Day 11. Park ideas you are not ready to post. Run P12.
  • Day 12. Schedule the week. Run P13. Still on the trial? It lets you schedule 3 new posts a day. Creator has no daily cap.
  • Day 13. Photos on your computer, not online? Run P15 in Claude Code.
  • Day 14. Check the queue. Run P3.

Week 3: turn comments into DMs (days 15 to 21)

Goal: when someone comments a word, they get a DM with your link.

  • You set up comment to DM in the sprkly app, under DM automation.
  • It is on every plan, Instagram only.
  • Free includes 10 contacts a month per account. Creator and the trial include 100. Power includes 1,000.
  • From Claude you can add the first comment that tells people what to type. You can also start an auto reply from a ready-made template.
  • Day 15. Pick one word, like GUIDE. Pick what you send back: a link, a price list, a free guide.
  • Day 16. In sprkly, open DM automation. Set up the word and the DM.
  • Day 17. Got a template from someone? Check it first. Run P19.
  • Day 18. Schedule a post with a first comment that names your word. Run P18.
  • Day 19. Plans changed? Move a post. Run P16.
  • Day 20. Check last night's post went out. Run P17.
  • Day 21. Clear out a post you no longer want. Run P20.

Week 4: review and repeat (days 22 to 30)

Goal: see what changed, then do the next month better.

  • Day 22. Review the month. Run P4 again.
  • Day 23. Compare with your week 1 rules. Did your best hour move? Run P5 again.
  • Day 24. Find this month's winners. Run P6 again.
  • Days 25 to 27. Write more like the winners. Run P9 again.
  • Day 28. Schedule next week. Run P13 again.
  • Day 29. Check the queue. Run P3.
  • Day 30. Update your three rules. Start week 2 again.

The prompts

Copy them. Swap the parts in <angle brackets>.

Check your setup

P1. What do I have?
What plan am I on, and which social accounts do I have connected?
P2. What needs fixing?
Do any of my accounts need reconnecting? Tell me by handle.
P3. What is coming up?
What have I got queued this week? Tell me anything that failed first, in plain words.

Know your numbers

P4. The month in review
Pull my last 30 days. What changed against the 30 days before? Give me the post counts behind each change.
P5. Best hour and day
What is my best hour and my best day to post? Tell me how many posts back each one. If it is too few, say so.
P6. Top posts and why
Which posts did best on each platform? Refer to them by caption. Tell me what they have in common. Be specific.
P7. What each platform can tell me
Which of my platforms report full numbers and which do not? Do not rank platforms on a number one of them lacks.
P8. A longer look
Look back 90 days on my <TikTok> account only. What worked?

Write and plan

P9. Ideas from your winners
Find what my top 3 posts have in common. Then give me 10 post ideas that follow the same pattern. Do not schedule anything.
P10. Captions per platform
Write captions for these ideas: <ideas>. One per platform: Instagram, a TikTok title, Threads. Match how my recent posts read.
P11. Check before you schedule
Check this caption against Instagram and TikTok rules. Do not schedule it. <caption>
P12. Save an idea as a draft
Save this as a draft in sprkly for Instagram, casual: <idea>

sprkly adds a short opener and closer to a draft. Edit it in Drafts.

Schedule and fix

P13. Plan my week
Plan my week from these photos: <links>. Space the posts around my best hour. Write a caption per platform. Show me the week as a table and wait for my go.

On Power, add: "Hold every post for my approval." Nothing goes out until you say yes.

P14. Post one thing
Post this to Instagram and TikTok on <Thursday at 6pm>: <link>. TikTok title: <title>. Public.
P15. Photos on your computer
Upload the photos in <this folder> as one carousel, in file name order. Schedule it to Instagram for <Saturday 9am>.

P15 needs Claude Code, or any Claude that can read your files.

P16. Move a post
Move everything from Friday to Monday morning.
P17. Did it go out?
Did last night's post go out? If it failed, tell me why in plain words. Do not post it again.

Get replies

P18. First comment with your word
Schedule this to Instagram tomorrow at 7pm: <link>. Add a first comment: "Comment GUIDE and I will send you the link."

A first comment works on Instagram only. Not on Stories.

P19. Check a template
Check this auto reply template. Do not set it up yet. <template>
P20. Clear one out
Scrap the Tuesday post, it is out of date. Ask me before you delete it.

You can bring a deleted post back from the Deleted tab for 30 days.

Tips that save a reply

  • Give Claude four things: what, where, when, how many. It can go from there.
  • Say times your way, like "tomorrow 9am". Claude works out your time zone.
  • Paste a link to the photo or video. Google Drive and Dropbox links work if the file is shared publicly.
  • Two Instagram accounts? Claude asks which one. It never picks for you.

The skill

One file of rules Claude follows when it uses sprkly. For example:

  • Post in one step. Do not ask what it already knows.
  • Ask which account when there is more than one.
  • Check how many posts back a number before calling it a pattern.
  • Never send a failed post again. Say why it failed and let you decide.
  • Know each platform's quirks, like TikTok and YouTube keeping their text in the title.

You do not need it to start. The connector already gives Claude the short rules and the six workflows. The skill is the long form.

The skill file
https://sprkly.app/skill.md
Install it in Claude Code (Mac or Linux terminal)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/sprkly
curl -sS https://sprkly.app/skill.md -o ~/.claude/skills/sprkly/SKILL.md

Start a new Claude Code session. It picks the skill up when you ask about posting.

Where Claude Code keeps your skills

What Claude cannot do here

  • Post with no queue. Every post goes through your sprkly queue and plan limits.
  • Pick a smart time on its own. Give it a time. With no time, the post goes out in about a minute.
  • Delete a post that already went out.
  • Post to an account you have not connected in sprkly.
  • Send a failed post again by itself. It tells you what failed and why. You decide.
  • Read numbers from Threads or Facebook. Those platforms report nothing to sprkly.
  • See YouTube posts made outside sprkly. YouTube numbers cover your newest 20.
  • Hold posts for your approval, unless you are on Power.
  • Post text only to Instagram or TikTok. Both need a photo or video.
  • Take big files. The limit is 50 MB a file. HEIC and AVIF files need to be saved as JPEG first.
  • Work on the Free plan. Claude needs the trial, Creator or Power.
