Free tool

Thread maker for X

  • Paste your long text.
  • Get posts of 280 characters or less, split at the end of a sentence.
  • Each post is numbered 1/5, 2/5 and so on. Copy them one by one.

The number is part of the post, so it counts toward the 280.

Paste your text. It splits into posts as you type.

Questions

How long can each post be?

  • 280 characters, and each link counts as 23.
  • The 1/5 number counts too. This tool leaves room for it.

Do links count toward a limit?

  • Only when you post through sprkly. Each X account gets 10 posts with a link a month, out of 60 posts.
  • A bare web address like sprkly.app counts as a link too.
  • Posting by hand on X? This limit does not apply.

Where does it split?

  • At the end of a sentence. A sentence longer than 280 is cut in the middle, and the tool tells you.
