You can schedule Facebook posts in sprkly and let them go out on their own. Here is what you need, what sprkly posts, and the five steps.
What you need
- A Facebook Page. A personal profile can't connect. Facebook does not let apps post to profiles.
- Admin access to that Page.
- The Page connected in sprkly. See Connect a Facebook Page.
What sprkly posts to Facebook today
- A photo post to your Page feed.
- A video post to your Page feed. Facebook takes shapes from 9:16 to 16:9.
- A Reel. Only a true 9:16 video becomes a Reel. It must also be 3 to 90 seconds long and at least 540 x 960.
- One image per post. If you add a set of photos, only the first one goes to Facebook. The rest are left out.
- A photo or a video is needed. A text-only post can't go to Facebook from sprkly yet.
- Long captions are fine. Facebook allows up to 63,206 characters. Links in the caption work too.
Schedule a Facebook post in 5 steps
- Open Compose and pick your Facebook Page from the account chips at the top.
- Add one photo or one video. For a Reel, use a vertical 9:16 clip under 90 seconds.
- Write your caption. Compose counts the characters for you.
- Pick a time. Choose Now, In 1 hour, Tomorrow 9AM, or your own date and time.
- Hit Schedule. The post shows up on your Schedule page. sprkly posts it at that minute.
If a post fails, sprkly tries again on its own. If it still can't post, the post is marked Failed and we email you the reason. See Why did my post fail?
Schedule Instagram and Facebook posts together
You don't need to write the post twice.
- In Compose, pick your Instagram account and your Facebook Page.
- Write one caption. Both get it.
- Want a different caption on one? Switch the caption to Per platform.
- Add your photo or video once. It goes to both.
- sprkly saves one post per destination. Your Instagram post and your Facebook post are two separate posts on the Schedule page.
- Each has its own status. If Facebook fails, Instagram still goes out.
- Instagram allows 2,200 characters. Facebook allows far more. Keep the shared caption under 2,200.
One trap: a set of photos posts as a carousel on Instagram. Facebook gets only the first photo. Put your best photo first.
Want TikTok and YouTube Shorts too? See Post one video to TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
Use sprkly as your Facebook planner
- The Schedule page has a Week view and a Month view.
- Filter by platform to see only your Facebook posts.
- Click Reschedule on a post to move it to a new time.
- Plan a whole week in one sitting: Batch a week of content.
When should you post? The Analytics page shows your best hour and best day.
- Facebook does not share its numbers with sprkly yet. So your Facebook posts don't count toward the best hour.
- Your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube posts do. Their best hour is a good place to start for Facebook too.
- A best hour needs at least 3 posts in that hour. With fewer, treat it as a hint.

FAQ
Can I schedule posts to my Facebook profile instead of a Page?
No. Facebook only lets apps post to Pages. This is true for every scheduler, not just sprkly. If you post as yourself today, make a free Page for your brand and connect that.
Can I schedule a Facebook Reel?
Yes. Upload a vertical 9:16 video that is 3 to 90 seconds long and at least 540 x 960. sprkly sends it to Facebook as a Reel. Compose shows "Feed, not Reels" when a video won't make it as a Reel.
Why did my Reel post as a normal video?
It missed one of the Reel rules: shape, length or size. A Reel in the wrong shape plays badly on Facebook. So sprkly posts it to your Page feed instead. The fix is here: Why did my Facebook Reel post as a normal video?
