On sprkly Power, a post can wait for approval. The owner of the sprkly account gets an email with an Approve link, and the post does not go out until they say yes. So the simplest setup for a client is: the client owns the sprkly account, and you queue the posts.
How approval works
- A post marked for approval waits. sprkly does not publish it.
- The owner approves it, and it is scheduled for its time.
- If its time has already passed, it goes out about 2 minutes after the yes.
- The owner can reject it instead, with a note. It goes back to a draft.
- While it waits, the caption, media and accounts are locked. Only the time can move.
Who gets the email
- The approval email goes to the sprkly account owner.
- It is sent when a post comes in through the sprkly API or an AI assistant, like Claude or ChatGPT.
- The Approve link works without signing in. It lasts 7 days.
- A post held from Compose sends no email. The owner approves it from the calendar.
A setup that works for a client
- The client makes a sprkly account and connects their own social accounts.
- The client makes you an API key in Settings. It can be limited to just their accounts.
- You queue posts through the API, or through Claude or ChatGPT, and mark each one for approval.
- The client gets an email for each post and clicks Approve or Reject.
Which plan
- Post approval is on Power, US$9 per account a month.
- It is also in the 14-day free trial.
- Creator and Free do not have it.
Do it in sprkly: In Compose, turn on Needs approval before you click Schedule. Or send the post through the API or an AI assistant with approval on, and the owner gets an email.
