Grok Bot can schedule your posts through sprkly. You connect it once with a sprkly API key. Grok cannot sign in to sprkly yet, so the key is how it gets in. Then you ask in plain words, like "Post this video to TikTok on Friday at 6pm."
Why connect them
- Write a post and schedule it in the same chat.

- Every post lands in your sprkly queue, so you see it on your calendar.
What you need
- Grok Bot.
- A sprkly Creator or Power plan, or the 7-day free trial. The Free plan does not include it.
- Your social accounts connected in sprkly Settings.
- A sprkly API key. Step 1 makes one.
Step 1: make a sprkly API key
- Sign in at sprkly.app and open Settings.
- Find the AI agents & API card and click Generate key.
- Give the key a name, like "Grok".
- Leave "Let this key read your DMs and comments and reply" unticked, unless you want Grok to work your inbox.
- Click Generate and copy the key. It is shown only once.
Step 2: add sprkly in Grok Bot
- Open a chat with Grok Bot.
- Paste this line, with your key in place of
<key>:
Add a custom MCP server called sprkly at https://sprkly.app/api/mcp with the header Authorization: Bearer <key>
- Keep the words "custom MCP server". Without them, Grok may look for a plugin instead.
- Grok shows the name and the address. Check the address, then click Add it.
- Go to Settings, then Plugins, then Yours. Check that sprkly is there and turned on.
- In a new chat, type @ and pick sprkly.
Or use Grok Build in the terminal
Grok Build is xAI's command line tool. Run this, with your key in place of <key>:
grok mcp add --transport http sprkly https://sprkly.app/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <key>"
Then run grok mcp list. sprkly should be in the list.
What to say to it
- "What do I have scheduled this week?"
- "Schedule this photo to Instagram and Threads tomorrow at 9am."
- "How did my posts do last week?"
Good to know
- It connects with an API key, not a sprkly sign-in. Anyone with the key can post as you, so keep it private.
- If a key leaks, revoke it in sprkly Settings and make a new one.
- It works on Creator, Power and the 7-day trial. Not on Free.
- Grok posts only to accounts you connected in sprkly.
- On a team, your team's Cursor MCP policy applies. An admin may need to allow sprkly.

FAQ
Can I sign in to sprkly from grok.com instead of using a key?
Not yet. grok.com's connector form asks for a sign-in id made ahead of time. sprkly does not have one for Grok, so use a key.
Can Grok read my DMs?
Only if you ticked the inbox box when you made the key. A key without it cannot read DMs.
What does sprkly cost?
Creator is US$4.50 an account a month. Power is US$9. One account is one handle on one platform.
Do it in sprkly: Make an API key in Settings, then paste the line from Step 2 into Grok Bot.
