Why did my post fail, and what happens next?

What Sprkly does automatically

When a publish attempt fails, Sprkly retries automatically with increasing delays (up to 3 attempts). Most transient platform hiccups resolve themselves this way without you doing anything. If all retries are exhausted, the post is marked Failed on your Schedule page with the reason, and we email you so nothing fails silently. You can fix the cause and reschedule the post from the schedule page.

Common causes

  • Expired or revoked connection — the most frequent one. Reconnect the account in Settings and reschedule.
  • Instagram media format — Instagram is strict about media. Use JPEG photos and MP4 (H.264) vertical video.
  • TikTok processing — TikTok can take a few minutes to process after we hand the video over; a post may show as processing before completing.
  • Facebook page permissions — if your Page role changed, reconnect Facebook.
  • YouTube quota — YouTube limits how many uploads an app can make per day; retries usually clear this.

Still stuck? Email [email protected] with the post's failure reason and we'll dig in.
